Cormorant
An OpenRTB bidder for advertisers who pay per click or per outcome. Agencies add it as a channel next to Google and Meta.
Demo The engine's dashboard: paper trading, backtests, GA tuning, a bid inspector and the ledger. Everything in it runs on a simulated market.
Status: pre-launch. The bidder runs in shadow mode on real request streams and has not bought live inventory yet.
How it bids
- Compliance first: COPPA, blocked categories, invalid traffic, supply chain, consent signals.
- Then targeting and creative fit, then value: predicted click-through times the price the advertiser pays.
- A margin cap and bid shading set the bid. The budget has to agree before it goes out.
- Hard limits on money: lifetime cap, per-bid ceiling, daily caps per exchange, hourly budgets, a killswitch that survives restarts.
Integration
- Agencies: partner API for advertisers, campaigns, creatives, conversions, reports and billing.
- Publishers: direct tag or Prebid adapter on revenue share. Seller list at /sellers.json.
- Exchanges: OpenRTB 2.5 and 2.6, bearer or IP allowlist auth, win, billing and loss notices, cookie sync. No encrypted price macros yet.
